Moving Day!

We are all moved in to our new home! It could not have gone smoother. There was a 60% chance of thunderstorms, but we didn't have a drop of rain the entire day! Friends and church members started arriving at the apartment on Sunday around 3pm. We were all unloaded and enjoying cookies and lemonade at the new house before 5pm! It was a huge blessing to have people providing vans, trucks and cars to help transport boxes and furniture. I doubt if anyone made more than a handful of trips carrying boxes down the stairs- many hands do make light work. Here is a picture of our movers- a few were missing (including Andrew).

We got everything moved in, and got back to work! We will be living on the main floor until the upstairs is completed. We are working on building closets, staining wood trim, painting and then installing carpet. Andrew got the shower curtain set up, along with curtains in the living and dining room. My mom helped get things organized in the kitchen, and my dad kept on working upstairs. 

Thanks to Katie and Ben, we now have a super clean and dust-free bathroom!

Definitely a huge blessing!

Another friend from church, John, came by and helped us get our oven and dryer hooked up. We have had so much help it's hard to keep track of it all! The day before we moved in, some college interns from Mosaic Church in An Arbor came to serve. They worked hard cleaning and getting things at the house ready for the move the next day. Thanks Joseph and Nellie Hutchinson for bringing us some help and sharing the ministry of Mack Avenue with your interns!

We are very excited to be in our new home.
